Of a PRAEPOSITION.
A PREPOSITION is a part of Speech which most commonly is set before other parts, either in Apposition, or in Composition. In Apposition, As, Aen mijn vader, To my father, Tot Rotterdam, At Rotterdam. Or in Composition: As, Ongeleert, Unlearned, Onbeschaemt, Impudent. And these following; As, |
Aen, Na, ofte Tot, To, Unto, or At, In, In, or Into, By, ofte Door, By, or Through, Totwaerts, Towards, Voor, Before, Voor dat, Before that, Eer, Ere, Eer dat, Ere that, Eer dan, Ere then. |
Om, ofte Omtrent, About, Ront-om, Round about, Tegen, Against, Op dese zijde, On this side, Gins, ofte op die zijde, Beyond, or on that side, Binnen, Within, Buyten, Without. |
Tusschen, Betweene, or Betwixt, Boven, Above, Beneden, Beneath. |

Note, that among the Netherdutch Adverbs are comprehended the Latin Conjunctions, Praepositions, and Interjections, because there is but a little difference in the use of them. For the further declaration of these indeclinable parts of Speech, I will propound there two examples: As, |

These Praepositions are of the Neuter Gender, and make some change; As, |
