The inspirations in my work are manifold. For my first menswear collection, I started out from graphical work in which I experimented with shapes and colours, which helped me to develop real graphical and minimal looks. For my bachelor collection I employed a completely different approach. My aim was to create 8 different looks inspired by different stereotypes, so I created 8 different characters gathered in one collection. This year, I decided to do a women's collection, in which I experimented with draping. Inside my garments I use patterns with which I rebuild the shape of the female body. Young as I am, I have always been fascinated by design and to me, fashion is really gathering every side of design and creation. I have always been intrigued by Antwerp, and more especially by the designers who graduated from the Academy. So after one year of studies of fashion in a Parisian school, I decided to try the entrance examination. After these four years of studying, I would like to go back to Paris and work for a big house to get acquainted with the concrete side of fashion. And from this experience, I would also like to develop my own projects. | |
