I'm looking at a photograph
three boys who are
three beings in motion
and focussed, centered
on a middle point which is a ball
which is a point directly behind the ball,
the fence, the sea, the ship -
distant, passing by, but not moving.
The boys, the ball, the ship
are all in perfect balance, full of motion,
but not moving.
The colors, the shades of white silver grey blue,
are part of this same motionless movement.
and this sense of still motion
is this kind of abstract longing
to continue the motion while remaining still, silent.
A philosophical desire
for the impossible simultaneousness
of motion and stasis
of unmeasurable change.
