Abstract of a paper by some biologist

Waiting for an idea about chameleons
- Gemini-animals with vè-ry long tongues -
I was visited by Niki de Saint Phalle.
Niki is new Greek for Victory
and Saint is the Phalle
to anyone who cannot live without it.
Niki is short for Nicippe, conquering mare,
Demeter disguised as priestess,
‘initiating brides and bridegrooms
into the secrets of the couch’.
Her shrine is bedwhite,
filled with two white monsters, nightmares
(mares - as sows and bitches - are the animals of the Goddess).

All is white yet, as the story of Satie,
or the end of Arthur Gordon Pym.
But look, the priest, waiter, missionary in white,
gives you a rifle,
according to Freud
you have to shoot and shoot well
ere the lifegiving colours of the moving sacs
are spilt on the moonwhite landscape.
The moon-goddess - according to Graves -
wants to be fertilized.
The shooting public, devotees of the Saint Phalle.

She asked my tribute
of dead animals
to be revived by her power.
Her lips form an anemone
- sea-anemone at that -
