I was at Oosterhout when your excellent Poems were brought to my lodging. If I had been at home, I would not have fayled to return you instantly the heartie thankes I owe you for so worthy a present. When I shall have perused every part of it, as indeed I have a mind to doe with as

4) George Lauder, een Schotsch royalist, was uitgewekenen en heeft in het leger der Staten gediend. In 1657 komt hij voor als luitenant-kolonel en hij diende tot 1670. (Meded. van den Heer Wakker.) Hij heeft militaire en vaderlandslievende gedichten geschreven.
