AN Adverbe is a part of Speech indeclinable, added to words to declare their signification; As, Hy quam spoedelick, He came speedely, Hy was strengelick gestraft, He was severely punished, Hy was nauwelijcx eerlick, He was scarcely honest, &c. |
Adverbes are of diverse significations. |
