......Our pay is not regulated yet; I mean that it has not yet received its form: but I reckon that it will be to each 75 gls a day, the house hire pay'd, as well as the transport to Aix, and 10.000 gls to each for equipage. As Monsieur de Katwyk and Hasselaar had a mind to live together in one house, I thought it for many reasons better to join with them; and it will make a considerable difference in the expence...... The Prince has a great cold, but is today much better. The apartment he is in, which is that of the former Stadholders, is so bad that it is a wonder everybody does not catch their death there. The Princess Royal has, as the rest of the family, the custom of not believing anybody out of order, but imagining always that people are too tender. She is very well and very big......
