Since it was yesterday decided that communication intime¹⁾ and previous concert are one and the same thing, I do most earnestly beseech Your Grace to procure me the latter in place of the former. Previous concert in good French is concert préalable: and after what was said yesterday by Lord Chesterfield I don't know upon what pretence he can refuse it.

I also beg that Your Grace would consider what measures must be taken, in case the negociation for the Russian troupes should, by the intrigues of France and of Prussia, miscarry.
