Jack has not a better friend; nor could a Brother have more affection for him than Mr. Pallardy has. And Jack has a great value for him. The army was to have passed the Rhine the 21st but I cannot yet tell you any particulars. I hope that when people's curiosity is satisfy'd about what our troops are to do, that it will have their approbation ... Our officers of the lower rank are all good. They have great spirit and emulation. They only want to be well led, and they feel the want of it...... |
