......Monsr. Rosendaal's affair is not yet finish'd, neither can I tell you positively what will be the end of it. For as he is very violent in his projects, he will, may be, employ such means as will persuade some and frighten others. You say its a vile action in him, but it is not possible to imagine any thing more so. And the situation of publick affairs and need of harmony and unity has made him the bolder. By something I heard yesterday I begin to think he has no good opinion of his success himself, some of his friends having spoke of a project of accommodation, and showing a moderation which makes think that, when the affair comes again in deliberation in the States Genl., he will not have the majority for him......
