devā jībhiyo pai kariyo mukām, cārudatta jībhiyo pai kariyo mukam

premī yaha sansāra mę saba se miliyo jāy; sąghariyā re, saba se miliyo jay
nā jāne kisa bhesa mę dādā nārāyana mili jāy

manäī janamavā pā̈i ke re aba tumahį bhajo hari nāma

I.

God(dess), make (your) abode on (my) tongue; (asks) Cārudatta,¹ make (your) abode on my tongue.

Beloved,² in this world you should go and meet all; companion, you should go and meet all.
(One) knows not in what guise, brother,³ God⁴ may be met.

Having attained human birth now you should devote (yourself to the) name of God.⁵
The day you will obtain birth (in the species) of the horse,⁶ there will be fixed double reins in your mouth (so you would not be able to utter God's name).

The Sire's home is far, O companion, like a tall tree of dates.
Climbing up, one may taste the juice of (divine) love, O brother, and if (one) falls, he (is shattered to) bits.
