Burgomaster De MeyGa naar voetnoot2) for instance (and him I only name as an example, without any manner of reflection upon his declaration) has given up the rent of his house att f. 700. - and the warehouses that he has for his suggarrefinery make it come to as much again; ex ungue leonem. I must begg the favour of you to tell me whom mister De Groot must apply to for the payment of the five hundred guilders that he has payed by the Prince's order to the five burgers, as it would not be proper, that this should appear in a publick account. |
