a visit here of the Prince of Orange; who met all the Duivenvoort family with me. The Princesse Royal was with him. But as I was in my night gown at breakfast with my company, the Prince came in unespectedly, and I did not dare go out of the room. So I sent Madame Duivenvoort etc. to the Princess Royal. The Prince said he would come and dine here to day with the greffier and Charles; which is exceeding good company. I now write expecting them. (Eenige dagen rust hebben hem veel goed gedaan.) As I have not been abroad, I can not telle you any news of the persons you most care to hear of. And I have had with me only the people I wanted, to do what could not suffer any delay.
