Uit Australië.

De heer W.L. Bosschart, consul-generaal in Australië, aldus meldt onze vertegenwoordigster, mevr. Semmens - Siebenhaar te Claremont, heeft een rondreis door Java gemaakt, na eerst West-Australië bezocht te hebben, met het doel handelsbetrekkingen tusschen die landen aan te knoopen, en er schijnt alle hoop, dat hij geslaagd is.

Reeds heeft een firma de noodige stappen gedaan en haar aankondigingen naar kooplieden in Holland gezonden.

- The Morning Herald, een Australische krant, de aanstelling besprekend van mevr. Semmens tot vertegenwoordigster van het A.N.V., dat vertaald wordt door Pan-Dutch Union, zegt o.a.:

‘The object of this union is chiefly to promote the interests of all those belonging to the Dutch race, and also to foster the existing tie of kinship between the fatherland and those who are residing in the Dutch colonies, possessions, and in foreign lands. The union also seeks to encourage trade and commerce to the greatest possible extent. Those who are interested should communicate with Mrs. Semmens, who will supply them with all the information available’.
