Hague, 11th May 1728

My Lord, I hope your Lordship will have had a happy journey, and that I shall soon be apprized of the agreable news of your being safely arrived at Vienna¹. I came to this place on Wednesday last at night, and had a very quick and good passage, having set out from London the day before in the morning. Nothing of moment has happened since my arrival, but if anything should occur worth your Lordship's knowledge you may be sure that I shall give you early notice of it. In the meantime I offer you my humble service and am with great respect.
