In verband met de vormgeving van het grootste deel van JCW's oeuvre, is het wellicht nuttig JCW-adepten te wijzen op de volgende aankondiging verschenen in de Times Literary Supplement van 14 juli 1978, p. 798:
‘Periodicals Before 1800.
Sir, - The Periodical Post Boy Reviv'd, a newsletter for all those interested in periodicals published before 1800, will begin publication in 1979. “I therefore ernestly desire all Persons, without Distinction, to take it in for the present Gratis.” Please send your name and address, items of news, brief notes, queries, announcements of work in progress, and bibliographical notices of works published or papers given, with brief annotation, to either of us.
